COSA VEDERE E FARE

 

Le Marche sono ricche di storia, cultura e natura. L'Isola che non c'era si trova a ridosso del Lago di Cingoli, dove si può praticare la canoa, la pesca sportiva e nei mesi estivi è possibile anche trovarvi refrigerio. Dall'agriturismo si può anche godere di uno scorcio su Elcito, antico borgo meravigliosamente conservato da cui si può godere di ottimi panorami e ritrovare sapori di altri tempi. E' altrettanto piacevole la cittadina di San Severino Marche, famosa per la sua piazza ovale con la Torre dell'orologio e ricca di arte e cultura. A pochi chilometri si può visitare Cingoli, detta il balcone delle Marche per la sua stupenda vista sul litorale marchigiano e che racchiude tra le sue mura la Chiesa di San Domenico dove si trova esposta la tela di Lorenzo Lotto Madonna del Rosario e Santi. Sempre nelle vicinanze non mancano possibilità di divertimento grazie al Parco avventura del lago di Cingoli e al Parco acquatico Eldorado. Apiro, città del folclore, è un caratteristico paesino marchigiano che ospita l'Abbazia di Sant'Urbano risalente al X secolo. In circa mezz'ora si possono raggiungere le Grotte di Frasassi, mentre spostandosi verso il mare si possono visitare la pittoresca Treia, Macerata con il suo Sferisterio, Recanati con la Casa leopardi, Loreto famosa per la Basilica della Santa Casa ed infine il Parco del Conero con le sue bellissime spiagge. Tolentino con la vicina Abbadia di Fiastra e il Castello della Rancia; Caldarola, dove oltre il centro storico si può visitare anche il Castello Pallotta e Fabriano, famosa per la fabbricazione della carta, sono altri punti di notevole interesse che si possono raggiungere in poco più di mezz'ora. Gli amanti della natura non devono assolutamente perdersi il Parco nazionale dei Monti Sibillini. Essendo l'agriturismo posizionato proprio nel cuore delle Marche, si possono raggiungere con gite giornaliere autentiche perle come Urbino, Ascoli, Offida e tantissimi altri luoghi di questa stupenda regione.

WHAT TO SEE, WHAT TO DO

The Marches are a region rich with history, culture and nature. L'Isola che non c'era is close to lake Cingoli, where you can enjoy canoeing and fishing, and can find cool spots in the heat of summer. From the farmhouse you get a glimpse of Elcito, a wonderfully preserved historic village with lovely views all round, where you breathe the atmosphere of the olden days. Equally pleasant is the small town of San Severino Marche, famous for its oval square with the Clock Tower, and steeped in art and culture. Only a few kms away lies Cingoli, known as “the balcony of the Marches” for the wonderful view it enjoys over the entire coastline. Within the walls of Cingoli is the church of San Domenico, where Lorenzo Lotto’s canvas, Madonna of the Rosary, can be admired.  Also, the area offers opportunities for fun and excitement in the “Adventure Park” of the Cingoli lake and the “Eldorado” aqua park. Apiro, the town of folklore, is a characteristic village that still preserves the 10th-century Abbey of St. Urbain. In about thirty minutes you can reach the caves called Grotte di Frasassi, while heading towards the coast you come to the picturesque town of Treia, to the city of Macerata with its Sphaeristerium, Giacomo Leopardi’s home town of Recanati, where the poet’s house can be visited, the city of Loreto, famous for its Basilica of the Virgin’s House, and finally the Conero Natural Park with its beautiful beaches. Also fascinating are Tolentino and the nearby Abbey of Fiastra and Castle of the Rancia; Caldarola, with its historical downtown area and Pallotta castle; and Fabriano, renowned for its ancient paper industry. All of these places are within half an hour from the farmhouse. Nature lovers should not miss the Monti Sibillini National Park. Since the farmhouse is situated in the very heart of the Marches, some of the gems of Central Italy can be visited in one-day excursions, like Urbino, Ascoli, Offida and many other places that make this wonderful region so fascinating.
